for Re-Applying to IUPUI as a Transfer Student
In order to be reconsidered for admission to IUPUI, we encourage you to explore one of the options below for strengthening your academic preparation. You should plan to complete at least one year of full-time Study that, at a minimum, meet the following criteria:
 One semester of college-level Math
 Two semesters of English
 One semester of a Laboratory Science (chemistry, biology, physics, etc.)
 At least three additional college-level, academic courses
 Earn at least a “C” grade or higher in each class.
 Earn at least a 2.5 GPA on a 4.0 scale (or the *****alent if grading scale is different)
After meeting the above requirements, please follow the next steps to update your application:
1. Complete our online update form at Update Your Application : Apply : International Affairs : IUPUI .
No additional application fee required if previous application is less than two years old.
2. If you have not already done so, submit proof of English proficiency
(see options at Undergraduate : Apply : International Affairs : IUPUI ), and
3. If you are an F-1 student visa holder, update your financial documentation.
Options for Local Applicants:
Ivy Tech Community College of Indiana: Ivy Tech Community College of Indiana
 Complete with a C grade at Ivy Tech:
o MATH 043
o ENGL 111
o A 100-level science course with a laboratory
o Two other 100-level courses
 Most 100-level academic classes transfer to IUPUI if a “C” grade is earned.
 Transferrable courses: IUPUI and IvyTech Coordinated Programs
 Early application deadline and IBT TOEFL score of 79 required for Student visa holders
Vincennes: International Students | Vincennes University
 Vincennes University has on-campus housing options
 Located a two hour drive south of Indianapolis
 Most* 100-level academic classes transfer to IUPUI if a “C” grade is earned.
Be sure to check with your academic advisor to assure the classes will be transferrable.
 International Student support services are provided
 No TOEFL score necessary
