Hind Abboushi is my advisor and she's the best lady ever that I have dealt with in the whole building in DC! 
She's very nice , understanding and cooperative! You're lucky to be under her supervision. It wouldn't hurt if you send her an email to say hi and to check if there's anything needed from your side. A short email would be nice because she has been very busy lately with a big number of students

Then the next day I sent her one.
