EDUCATION ADVISING LETTER TO KASP STUDENTS

Dear King Abdullah Scholarship Program (KASP) Student,

Congratulations on receiving a King Abdullah Scholarship! We are happy so many of you are going to study in the United States, and we at EducationUSA want to help make your transition as easy as possible. We wish to invite you and your family to attend one of our Pre-departure Orientations being offered at the U.S. Embassy in Riyadh and the Consulates General in Jeddah and Dhahran.

This orientation will help you get organized as you plan for your studies in the USA. Topics for discussion include: documents you will need to bring, financial considerations, health insurance coverage, tips for packing your baggage, cultural adjustment and U.S. immigration and customs procedures.

Attached are sign-up forms for each of the three locations. Simply choose the sign-up form for your area, fill in your contact/ identification details and your preferred session date, and return the filled-in form to the appropriate email listed below:

Note that the Pre-departure Orientations are scheduled to coincide with KASP scholar visa appointment days, ‘Super Monday’s’. It would be ideal to attend the orientation on the same days as your visa appointment.
