NOTE: On-campus dormitory/meal plan is available only during the Summer Term. If housing is needed during the Fall, Spring, or May Term, please consult the IEP website at Intensive English Program (IEP) - ESL at SMU - SMU for non-dormitory housing resources near the SMU campus.
Application fee (only for Current Status “D" students):
o Required once per academic year – $50.00
Tuition and fees (includes all books and materials):
o Fall Term (12 weeks, 9/14/11 to 12/9/11) – $2,850.00
o Spring Term (12 weeks, 1/11/12 to 4/13/12, with one-week spring break) – $2,850.00
o May Term (6 weeks, 5/9/12 to 6/22/12) – $1,550.00
o Summer Term (6 weeks, 6/27/12 to 8/10/12) – $1,550.00
International Student Fee (automatically charged each term to all students enrolled at SMU on a student visa) – $50.00
SMU Health Insurance – Required for students with an SMU student visa unless comparable insurance is provided by your government. Please note that payment for SMU Health Insurance is made separately from other IEP costs (details provided at registration).
Individual Term Health Insurance:
o Fall Term (12 weeks, 9/14/11 to 12/9/11) – $364.00
o Spring Term (12 weeks, 1/11/12 to 4/13/12, including one-week break) – $379.00
o May Term (6 weeks, 5/9/12 to 6/22/12) – $178.00
o Summer Term (6 weeks, 6/27/12 to 8/10/12) – $182.00
Full Academic Year Health Insurance:
o Fall Term (8/13/11 to 1/9/12) – $759.00
o Spring/May/Summer Terms (1/10/12 to 8/12/12) – $759.00
Estimated living/incidental expenses for period of application: (estimated to be approximately $12,000 per calendar year or $1000 per month) $ ___________
