A disappointed citizens.
The thought of traveling and studying abroad is a life time dream that comes to reality. I Have been told that you need connection or your life there would a nightmare. I put all my faith in my own country and denied the ugly truth. We set a goal to leave the most important people we know family and friends just to be educated and make the flag of our country rise up high in the sky. We went there to show people who Saudis are, how well they behave, and how civilized they are despite what the media says. Carrying out the weight of the world on our shoulders, some spend 7, 8, or even 12 months without a scholarship. They say do well and the scholarship will fly right to your arms. Bullshit. You think if you did good behave good or became a good representative of your country you would get a scholarship. Take me as an example, I got A+ in all my English classes got the toefl score, dressed, behaved properly and rejections is all what I have got. I send out 5 requests, and they did not meet the standards .Indeed, your standards are as high as your integrity. The irony is that in the same institute I'm in a classmate has been kicked out, for bad academic behaviors, and guess what he has been accepted since he got here. However, What raptures my heart the most is when I got in an accident and hospitalization was required for about two days. Aftermath, the bills arrived and it was about 4000$. Oh, who should I talk to now my deer father and mother who took care of me and freak them out! My account balance was - 27. Who should I run to help solve my misfortune ? Throughout this hardship, I received a call from the hospital saying "We have paid all of your expensiveness, have a good day". My beloved country, to whom should I be loyal to now.
Next step, go home, figure out a dead end job to work on. I never thought that my dreams would break apart and scatter all over the floor. I never thought that the people who should encourage me, are the ones who bright grief to my heart. So I want to make it well known, if you are planning to travel abroad without knowing anyone in the Saudi cultural mission, don't go and stay home because neither respect nor scholarship will be gained.
Your Highness , you said and I quote that " I value my people more than I value my own self"(2014). I know that you do because you are one of a kind, you have a golden heart, honest, moral, and a man to whom I will be loyal to till the day I die. My dear king, the people you have put in charge failed me, failed one of your sons, and I know if you had known you would say that this is not acceptable because the last thing our country needs is another an unemployed and a drug addict. I hope my message will be heard.
