NJ is super safe all over & very good for Muslims to live in
it is not that Expensive compared to NYC, Boston & Cali, but very expensive to the rest of the US

a 2 bedroom is $1300/month on avg in NJ

The BEST part of NJ is Paterson (the Arab neighborhood, where are all the restaurants & halal markets)

the worst part, it does not show u the real USA (trafic, old, not much greenery near cities)

put in mind if u have a family u NEED to have a car (or u could use zipcar.com)

I used to live in Kearny which is super safe & across the river from Newark
the bus stopped in front of the compound
(2bd $900/month but the apartment was very small)

I also used to live in Lyndhurst (spacious & nice, lots of Saudis lived there) (2bd $1100/month)

If u r looking for a place to rent with the same standard as in KSA
stay in Rutherford ($1300/month & above for 2bd)

My friend who is going to NJIT is staying in Secaucus (2bd $1400/month
