I will try to explain my understanding for this one. If it is correct, we are going to verify to jumb to the sky, cheers, if it is not correct we are going to fall down out of Eiffel’s Tower top.. xD

He played = could be long action.
We saw him = short action.

The short action could interrupt the long action.
The long action cannot interrpt the short action.

So, I should say, We saw him when he was playing football.

Other way, which action that would start before the other?

The action of seeing him or the action of playing football?

The action of playing is longer than just "seeing him playing". Because you do not "see him" all the time, but he could "play all the time".

So, the sentnec gonna be, We saw him when he was playing.

In your sentence, you put "he played when we were saw him"

You cannot say "were" and "saw" after each other, because both of them are simple past verbs.

If you wanna say were/was you must follow it with a verb contain ing.

يعني مثلا نصف احداث معيّنة و نقول العبارات الجيد ذكرها في موقف معين .. هذا الشي يرسخ المعلومة في تقديري أكثر من كونه قواعد في قواعد ..

يعني مثلا داخل على أخوياك و عندك خبر زين و خبر شين و تبي تقول لهم
الامريكان اسلوبهم كالتالي ..
