Dear student,
We are delighted that you are coming to Groningen soon!
Your contact person at the faculty has sent us your documents. The
International Service Desk will arrange immigration procedures on your
behalf.
We have applied for an MVV (long term visa) for you today. This type of
visa allows you to apply for a residence permit. Upon your arrival in
The Netherlands the faculty will provide you with the application forms
for the residence permit. During the Welcoming Ceremony the
International Service Desk organizes special sessions to help you apply
for a residence permit.
If all goes well, within two to four weeks, the Immigration and
Naturalisation Service (IND)
will inform us of the approval of your MVV. We will then inform you by
e-mail. If you have not heard from us within five weeks, please contact
us at (تم حذف الإيميل لأن عرضه مخالف لشروط المنتدى) and we will inquire into the cause of the delay.
We urgently request you NOT to apply for a visa yourself at the embassy.
If you do so, the Immigration Office receives two applications and
subsequently will stop both.
Furthermore we would like to advice you that you do not book a flight
ticket until you receive the approval message of your visa from us.
Please pay attention to the following:
- You must arrange a legalized birth certificate (with translation in
Dutch, English, French or German) before your departure to the Netherlands.
Information about legalization can be found by clicking the link below:
Legalisation of documents - MinBuza.nl
We advise you to search on the internet or to contact the Netherlands
Embassy or Consulate in your country to find out how to have your birth
certificate legalized.
Keep in mind:
- Legalisation does not account for all countries, please read the
website carefully.
- You do NOT have to send the ORIGINAL legalised birth certificate to
us. Please take the ORIGINAL certificate with you to Groningen.
Please contact us if you have questions about the visa application process.
Yours sincerely,
International Service Desk
