Premedical studies:
The pre-medical studies major is a program of study designed to prepare students for successful entry into medical school, health-care training programs, and graduate studies in health-related fields. The major offers students the knowledge and skills necessary for successful completion of professional entrance examinations. The major prepares students for the medical profession by providing them with a strong foundation in the sciences, and enriching their background with liberal arts courses that help them understand the clinicians' obligations to patients and society. Although most students will complete the pre-medical studies major in four years, it is possible to accelerate the process by enrolling in courses during the summer sessions. By taking advantage of extensive summer courses, students can reduce not only the time required to meet the major's requirements, but the costs as well.
